Frequently Asked Questions

Registration

Do I have to register in order to make a purchase?

Yes, you will need to register to make a purchase. To register, click the Login/Register button and enter your name, email address and create a password.

I have registered an account and logged in but cannot see any products.

A lot of our products are set up as ‘students only’ products which means they can only be viewed or purchased if your online store account is linked to a student record.

To link your online store account after registering, follow these steps:

Please note, the verification code is sent to the student. If you are a parent/guardian please make sure the student has access to their emails to provide you with this code.

Click on My Account and click Link to Student Record.

Enter the student's ID number and date of birth and click Next.

If the details match our system, a verification code will be sent to the personal email address we have on file for the student.

Enter the code and click Submit.

You should now be able to view the products available to purchase for that student.

If you have followed the above instructions and are still struggling to view products, please read our Online Store Instructions for further assistance.

I need to link more than one student to my Online Store account.

If you need to purchase items for more than one student, you will first need to link all of those students to your Online Store account. You will need to do this one by one. To link the student’s, follow the steps listed above. To check which students are already linked to your account or to link another student go to My Account and click Linked Students.

Can I have more than one account linked to my student account?

Yes - you may want to have an account setup yourself (as the student) as well as your parent/carer having an account too. To do this, follow the registration step-by-step above. Please note, both accounts will need to be linked to the student to view and purchase products.

What if I have forgotten my password?

On the login page select Forgotten Password.

Enter the email address associated with your account and click reset password. You will be sent a password reset email containing a 6-digit code. Enter the reset code, click Submit, and create a new password.

Purchasing

If I make a purchase, how do I get confirmation of my order?

When you purchase items from our Online Store, you will receive an email confirmation to the email address associated with your account. The confirmation will show the items you have ordered and paid for.

I want to purchase items for more than one student.

To purchase items for more than one student, you will need to do so in separate transactions. This is because the products are linked to each student individually. Please complete one full transaction linked to one student. You may then need to log out of your account and log back in to be able to select the next student and purchase items for them.

Why can’t I view or purchase a specific item even though I'm logged in and linked to a student account?

Access to certain products in our online store is restricted to specific courses, year groups, or modules. If you are logged in but cannot find or purchase a particular item, it is usually because your account has not yet been assigned the necessary permissions for that product.

To resolve this, please speak directly with your Course Tutor. They are responsible for managing the student eligibility lists for restricted items and can verify whether you should have access. Once your tutor confirms your eligibility and updates our records, the item should become available to you shortly.

If your tutor confirms you should have access but the issue remains, please reach out to the College Finance Office with your student ID number for further assistance.

I have attempted to pay online but the transaction was not successful.  Why is this?

There are several reasons why this may have happened:

You may have made a mistake entering the card number.

Your credit limit may have been exceeded.

In addition to an overall credit limit some card issuers may impose daily limits and limits on the size of individual transactions.

The postcode you entered is different from the postcode held by the card issuing company.

The card may be expired, cancelled card or blocked.

Not all cards are eligible for online payments.

If your card has been declined you may try again, but, please be aware that most card issuers allow only three consecutive attempts before the card is blocked for the rest of the day.  In order to protect your confidentiality, the card issuing company will not tell us the transaction has been declined and you will need to contact them directly to ascertain the reason.

Can I view my order history?

Yes, simply go to 'My Account' or the   icon in the top right corner of the page, and then 'Orders'.

Bursary Deduction

How do I use my bursary allocation on the store?

If you have been awarded a bursary for trips, kit, or uniform, your discount will be applied automatically at the checkout. Once you add an essential item to your basket and log in, the system checks your eligibility and deducts the allocated amount from your total. You no longer need to pay upfront and submit receipts to the bursary team for these items.

Why hasn't my bursary discount been applied to my basket?

If you are expecting a discount but it isn't appearing, it may be because the item is not marked as "essential" for your specific course, or your bursary application is still being processed. We recommend double-checking that you are logged into your student account. If the discount still doesn't show, please contact the Bursary Team directly; they can review your account, explain why an amount hasn't been allocated, or fix any link errors between the systems.

I bought my kit last year and got a refund. Is the process different now?

Yes. Unlike last year, where students paid full price and provided receipts for reimbursement, the funds are now integrated directly into the store. This "point-of-sale" discount means you don't have to wait to be paid back. Because of this change, the Bursary Team will no longer manually reimburse receipts for items that are available directly through the online store.

What should I do if I think my bursary allocation is incorrect?

If the discount applied is different from what you expected, or if you believe you should have an allocation for a specific trip or kit, the Bursary Team is your first point of contact. They manage the specific funding amounts assigned to your student ID and can resolve any issues regarding your financial support eligibility.

Merchandise Orders

How long will it take for my merchandise to arrive?

While we aim to process orders as quickly as possible, some merchandise items are subject to a two-week lead time before they arrive at the college. This is because many of our items are produced to order or dispatched from external suppliers. We appreciate your patience while we get your gear ready.

How will I know when my order is ready for collection?

You don't need to check in with us—we will let you know! Once your item has arrived on campus and is processed, you will receive an email notification to your student account. This message will include specific details on exactly where and when you can collect your order.

Can I have my merchandise delivered to my home?

Currently, all merchandise ordered through the online store is delivered to the college for on-campus collection only. This helps us keep costs down for students and ensures your items are stored securely until you are ready to pick them up.

What do I need to bring to collect my order?

When you receive your "Ready for Collection" email, please head to the designated collection point during the stated hours. You will need to show your student ID card and a copy of your order confirmation email (either printed or on your phone) so our staff can verify your purchase.
